Alcohol, weapons, illegal substances, glass, open beverage containers and hard-sided bags/containers are not permitted. Prohibited items that are discovered during bag inspections must either be returned to your vehicle or discarded. XS Tennis Village will not provide storage for these items. Guests arriving by public transportation must take particular caution not to bring any prohibited items, as no exceptions will be made.

The gates open at 9 am local time each day. Play begins daily at 10 am.

A selection of local, Chicago-area food trucks will be on-site to provide food and beverage for purchase throughout the duration of the tournament. Food trucks will be located at the north end of the site, behind the practice courts.

The Chicago event will be held at XS Tennis Village in the neighborhood’s Washington Park neighborhood: 5336 S. State Street, Chicago.

Both the women’s and men’s draws will consist of 32 singles players, 16 qualifying players and 16 doubles teams. The ATP and WTA Draw Ceremonies will take place on Sunday, September 2 from 2:00-3:00 pm at the XS Tennis Village. Fans are encouraged to attend.

The next day’s schedule is determined each late afternoon/evening. At approximately 7:00pm each evening, the schedule and match times for the following day will be posted on the Oracle Challenger Series website.

Every attempt will be made to play matches as scheduled. In the event of rain or wind, matches will be rescheduled at the discretion of the tournament referee.

Cameras (without a flash) may be used to capture photos/videos for personal and private domestic use. Videos and photographs may not be reproduced, cannot be exploited or displayed in any manner or in any medium whatsoever without the express written consent of the ATP World Tour, WTA Tour, the Oracle Challenger Series or XS Tennis Village.

XS Tennis Village is located at 5336 S. State Street, in Chicago’s Washington Park neighborhood.

Via I-90 E / I-94 E:
Take exit 56B toward 47th Street and merge onto S Wentworth Avenue. Continue onto S Wells Street for a half mile. Turn left onto W 51st Street then right on S State Street. XS Tennis Village is about a quarter of a mile, on the right.

Via 1-94 W
Take exit 57 to S Wentworth Avenue. Continue onto S Wells Street for a half mile. Turn left onto W 51st Street then right on S State Street. XS Tennis Village is about a quarter of a mile, on the right.

Via Lake Shore Drive
Exit Lake Shore Drive at E 31st Street then turn left on S. State Street. Drive about 3 miles, XS Tennis Village will be on the right.

Public Transportation
XS Tennis Village is very accessible via public transportation. The 29 bus stops right in front of XS Tennis Village at State and 54th while the 55 bus stop is less than two blocks away at State and Garfield. The closest L stops are the Garfield Red Line and the Garfield Green Line.

Those using Uber, Lyft or another car service should direct their driver to 5336 S. State Street.

XS Tennis Village is a brand new tennis and athletic facility featuring 27 indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a 10,000 square-foot gym and a 5,000 square-foot academic center. The state-of-the-art tennis mega-center also houses the XS Tennis Foundation, a community-based sports and academic program that introduces tennis to Chicago’s underserved youth.

Free and secure parking is available at XS Tennis Village.

Fans are welcome to request autographs from players as appropriate, provided that they are respectful of the player’s time and schedule. It is up to the discretion of each individual player if they wish to grant autographs at a given time.

The tournament concludes after the last match of the day has ended, based on the pace of play each day and the number of matches scheduled. It is estimated that play will end between 6-7 pm local time each evening. Please consult the daily order of play for more information about match schedules.

No, seats are bleacher-style and are first-come, first-served.

The player field will be announced about 2 weeks before the tournament, with additional wild card players announced closer to the event. The qualifying round will determine who the final players included in the main draw will be.
