The Oracle Challenger Series was established in 2017 as a way to support up-and-coming American tennis players through opportunities to secure both ranking points and prize money. The Series visits four cities (Chicago, Houston, Phoenix and Indian Wells) and awards equal prize money per Tour per event, with the top Americans also competing for wildcards into the BNP Paribas Open. The top two American women’s and men’s points-getters over the course of the Series receive wildcards into their respective singles main draws at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California.

The BNP Paribas Open is the largest combined ATP World Tour Masters 1000 and WTA Premier Mandatory tennis event in the world. It is hosted annually at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden near Palm Springs in the city of Indian Wells, California. The top Americans from the Oracle Challenger Series (two men and two women) will be granted wild card entry into the main draw at the BNP Paribas Open.

Each tournament in the Series is classified as WTA 125 and ATP World Tour Challenger events, with prize money awarded equally at $150,000 per Tour per event.

All Oracle Challenger Series events are free and open to the public. Tennis fans do not need a ticket to enjoy the Chicago event.

Oracle has a longstanding commitment to American tennis, both at the collegiate level and the professional. Not only does Oracle have partnerships with the WTA, ATP World Tour and the ITA, but they grant scholarships and grants to aspiring American tennis athletes.
